An incurable traveler, hiker, adventurer, and gardener, Andrea’s passion is to guide people with injuries and chronic health conditions to live life to the fullest through the practices of yoga, movement, and spending time outdoors with nature. Yoga and mindfulness are anchors of her daily life, so that she can continue to do the fun outdoors-y things that she loves to do.
She loves studying and practicing mobility. Her favorite quote is: “You don’t stop moving because you get old, you get old because you stop moving.” (Dr. Peter Attia)
Through yoga, she has transformed herself physically and emotionally after undergoing 17 orthopedic surgeries over the course of 2+ decades. She believes in functional movement, especially in our modern tech-driven society. One of the best ways to naturally move our bodies, the way they are designed to move, is by spending time outdoors.
Andrea is an ERYT-500 and YACEP yoga teacher. She teaches in-person yoga and TRX classes at 2 YMCAs as well as a private gym. She is a yoga teacher trainer for Uplifted Yoga YTT. She has also completed certifications in Accessible Yoga, Yin Yoga, TRX Yoga, Trauma-Conscious Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. Finally, Andrea is also a Certified Mindful Outdoor Guide through the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership.
